This 20-year-old, New Mexico born and raised cowboy rides for the culture of winning. Legend says he knew how to ride a horse before he knew how to walk. He has become better known as "Money Mayfield" by his fans and fellow competitors.
Shad Mayfield is a 2x NFR qualifier and the PRCA's newly crowned World Champion Calf Roper. He qualified to his first National Finals Rodeo at the young age of 18 while defying all odds. After winning the 2019 National High School Finals Rodeo, he went on a run resulting in his first qualification to the NFR. In his second year in the PRCA, he was the regular season's highest money winner with notable wins at RFD-TV's the American Rodeo, San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, and the Sandhills Stock Show & Rodeo. Shad also dedicates his time to encouraging the younger generation and sharing his journey with his followers on Facebook and Instagram.
