Rodney Woods is the founder, Board Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Diversity in Promotions, Inc. (DIP). He skillfully positioned DIP as a Dallas-based strategic marketing firm specializing in minority/women-owned business enterprise (M/WBE) business development, diversity program management, outreach, and contract compliance with a primary focus on diversity procurement & supplier diversity initiatives to help strengthen relationships between M/WBEs, corporations, athletes, entertainers, and private investors. Woods is responsible for DIP’s flourishing business portfolio, securing clients such as Volkswagen, Toyota, Victoria's Secret PINK, Adidas, Converse, Alliance Bernstein, General Motors, and Walgreens.
While performing various initiatives for his clients, he quickly identified the need for capital for thousands of M/WBEs serving as Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to Fortune 500 companies. Seizing the opportunity, Woods established Playbook Investors Network (PIN), a web-based educational platform designed to bridge the gap between M/WBE, LGBT, Veteran-Owned, institutional and private investors. Woods, a native of Nashville, TN, was a collegiate scholar-athlete in basketball and graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from Paine College in Augusta, GA. He also attended the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, receiving a reward for “Building a High Performing Business."
Because of his dedication and excellence in basketball, Woods was invited to try out for the Dallas Mavericks. After experiencing a career-ending injury, he embarked on a successful career in law enforcement with the Dallas Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for over twenty years.
Woods sits on several boards with athletes, entertainers, corporations, and schools.
