Rakim Jarrett is an american college football player that currently plays as wide receiver for the University of Maryland. He was a five-star wide receiver in high school, he was the nation's No. 20 ranked recruit and the nation's No. 2 ranked wide receiver. He was also awarded the 2019 DC Gatorade Player of the Year and caught 60 passes for 950 yards and seven touchdowns in 2019.
In his Freshman year, he was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten, and started in all four games he appeared in. He also totaled 17 receptions for 252 yards and two touchdowns during freshman season and ranked fifth among all freshman wide receivers in the FBS in receptions per game (4.3) and sixth receiving yards per game (63).
In his Sophomore campaign Rakim started in all 13 games at wide receiver. He led the Terps in every receiving category with 62 receptions for 829 yards and five touchdowns. He stood seventh in the Big Ten in receptions, eighth in receiving yards and 10th in touchdowns. His 62 receptions is tied with Stefon Diggs for the seventh-most in a single season in program history and his 829 yards is ninth in program history.
