Nolan Smith is an Outside Linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles. he played college football at the University of Georgia before being selected 30th overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2023 NFL draft. During the 2021 season, Nolan Played in 14 of 15 games, starting in all 14. He finished with 56 total tackles, fifth most on the team. He also finished with 9.0 tackles for lost yardage (second on the team), 3.5 of those coming on QB sacks, along with 27 QB pressures. He led the Bulldogs in tackles (8) in the Capital One Orange Bowl win over Michigan. He also had a career-high seven QB pressures vs. the Wolverines. He had three tackles, one for loss, two QB hurries, and a pivotal play in Georgia’s win over Missouri, when he blocked a second-quarter Tiger punt that resulted in a safety. He had four total stops in a win over Florida. He added three career firsts vs. the Gators: forced fumble, fumble recover, and an interception, all in 39 seconds of the second quarter. He was twice named SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week: vs. USC and Florida. He had four tackles, one QB sack (8-yard loss,) and two QB hurries in Georgia’s win over #3 Clemson. He had a team-high eight tackles in a win over South Carolina. He caused a fumble and also assisted on a sack that resulted in a safety vs. the Gamecocks. He was also named one of three team captains for the Vanderbilt game.
