  • What is your favorite quote? You are only growing and improving when you are uncomfortable.
  • Are there any moments that stand out as having a significant impact on your career? My first mentor stretched me to give me opportunities to grow. When I doubted my experience, she always said "People in the room are older than you, no one is smarter than you."
  • Outside of your profession do you have any hobbies/interests? I LOVE watching hockey and being a hockey mom. I am a fan of the NHL and NFL. I also enjoy the creativity of cooking. It brings me calm and focus.
  • Who do you look up to as a mentor and why? Althea DeBrule my first mentor in my first significant HR role.
  • Is there anything else we should know about you? I grew up with a traditional Japanese mother who reinforced compliance with norms and humility. I have learned how to manage these early biases to drive big organizational change.
