Michael Paul Beasley Jr. was born on January 9, 1989, to Michael Beasley Sr. and Fatima Smith. Beasley has four siblings and two kids of his own by the name of Mikaiya Beasley and Michael Beasley III. Beasley endured success quickly. He played college basketball for Kansas State University for one year. In that year, Beasley was named the Big 12 Player of the Year, averaged 26 points, and led the NCAA in rebounds. The following year, Michael Beasley Jr. was selected as the 2nd overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Miami Heat. In his NBA Summer League debut, Beasley scored 28 points. In 2009, he was awarded the NBA All-Rookie First Team award. Throughout the years, Beasley has played on several different NBA teams. To state a few: Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, and the Los Angeles Lakers.
