Megan Gustafson is a center currently playing for the Washington Mystics in the WNBA. A Port Wing, WI native, Gustafson attended South Shore High School before going to school at the University of Iowa. She had a very successful collegiate career for the Hawkeyes, as she became one of only four NCAA Women’s Basketball players in history to score 1,000 points in a single season. She won the Naismith Player of the Year in 2019, a trophy awarded to the best college player in the nation, as well as winning the AP Player of the Year and the Big Ten Player of the Year, averaging a dominant 27.9 points per game. Gustafson entered the 2019 NBA Draft and was selected 17th overall by the Dallas Wings. Her #10 jersey for the Hawkeyes has been retired, being one of only two players in school WBB history to have their jersey retired.
