After leading USC to victory in the 2009 Rose Bowl, Mark Sanchez left school to prepare for the 2009 NFL Draft. Though criticized by some, Mark's bet on himself came through when he was chosen by the New York Jets with the 5th overall pick. He got off to a hot start in New York, becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to start and win his first three NFL games. Sanchez led the Jets to the 2009 AFC Championship Game and followed up on his successful rookie season with a second AFC Championship berth in 2010. Though he wouldn't make it back to the playoffs, Sanchez played 7 more seasons with the Jets, Eagles, Broncos, Cowboys, Bears, and Redskins. He retired in 2019.
After retiring, Mark accepted a position with ESPN on their College Football coverage. Mark now hosts his own podcast, 4th and Forever, in addition to working as an analyst and spending time being a dad. He also works on a variety of charitable endeavors, notably with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Rounding out his diverse set of interests, Mark is an avid fan of musical theatre and competed in season 4 of The Masked Singer on FOX.
