Mac Jones is the current starting Quarterback for the New England Patriots. Jones was drafted 15th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. He started all 17 games for the Pats leading them to an AFC Wildcard birth. Jones and the Patriots fell short to the Bills in that game. Jones was an AFC ROY finalist in his rookie season. Jones looks more polished and more grown entering the 2022 season.
Mac Jones was born in Florida. Jones originally committed to the University of Kentucky before accepting a scholarship from Alabama's head coach, Nick Saban. He won two national championships with the Crimson Tide, one in 2017 and one in 2020. He led the team to the championship in 2020 as the starting quarterback, and he was recognized for his stellar play by being named a Consensus All-American, First Team All-SEC, SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and winning both the Davey O'Brien Award and the Manning Award. He plans to enter the 2021 NFL draft.
