Serial entrepreneur, growth leader, and author Luke Cooper is Founding General Partner at Baltimore-based Latimer Ventures, a $50M investment fund focused on supporting underrepresented technology founders with capital and expertise to scale and exit their businesses. He is also the Presidential Distinguished Scholar at the University of Maryland Baltimore, a post held previously by Norm Augustine. In his nonprofit activity, Luke aims to elevate the experience of Black tech entrepreneurs, providing training curriculum and advisory services to small minority businesses as well as strategic connections with local procurement budgets.
Luke has served as a Board Trustee at the University of Maryland Baltimore, an organization with nearly $1B in endowment. Governor Hogan has also previously appointed him as a Maryland TEDCO Board of Directors member, a $250M organization focused on providing startup funding, resources, and connections to early-stage technology and life sciences companies. Luke holds a JD from Syracuse University, an MBA from Babson College, an M&A Certificate from the University of Chicago, and a BASc from Adelphi University, where he was a scholarship Men’s Basketball player.
