Lorela Cubaj is an Italian-born WNBA basketball player. She played her college ball at Georgia Tech and was drafted 18th by the Seattle Storm in the 2022 WNBA draft. She was traded on draft night to the New York Liberty. She was waived by New York during her rookie season after playing 11 games but was promptly picked up by Italian team Umana Reyer Venezia in the Lega Basket Femminile league where she plays in the off-season. In 2023 he was picked up by the Atlanta Dream, where she still plays. Lorela had a highly decorated five-year career playing for Georgia Tech averaging a double-double of 10.1 points and 11.1 rebounds during her fifth year. She ended her career back-to-back ACC Defensive Player of the Year and on the shortlist for the Katrina McClain Award watchlist, honoring the nation’s top power forward.
