Jonquel Jones is a Bahamian-Bosnian basketball player for the WNBA's Connecticut Sun. Jones played one year of college basketball at Clemson University before transferring to George Washington University. The 6th overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks, Jones' draft rights were traded to the Connecticut Sun. Jones quickly became one of the WNBA's biggest stars. A three-time WNBA All-Star, Jones has also led the league in rebounding in three seasons, is a two-time WNBA All-Defensive First Team selection, led the WNBA in blocks in 2019, was the WNBA Most Improved Player in 2017, is a three-time All-WNBA selection, and was named WNBA MVP in 2021. Jones represents the Bosnia and Herzegovina women's national basketball team internationally.
