John Konchar is an NBA basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies. After playing his college basketball at Purdue Fort Wayne, Konchar signed a two-way contract with the Grizzlies in 2019. He made his NBA debut in November of 2019 against the Mavericks and is on the list of NCAA D-1 players to record 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. During his college career, Konchar compiled 2,065 career points and left as the program's all-time leading scorer. At the end of the season, the mayor of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Tom Henry, proclaimed March 28 as "John Konchar Day."
