Olympian Joey Cheek won a Bronze Medal in 2002 and both Gold and Silver in 2006 while representing the United States in speedskating. Following his victory in 2006, Joey made the grand gesture of donating his entire Olympic medal bonus to the Darfur region of Sudan. He also won the 2006 U.S. Olympic Spirit Award for his demonstration of Olympic ideals during the games. Today, he is a successful businessman and keynote speaker. He currently works as the EVP of Entrepreneurship for the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce. He is also an on-air commentator for NBC Sports.
