Book Greg Olsen

Greg Olsen is a 2x Sports Emmy Award winner, former 3x Pro Bowl tight end for the Carolina Panthers, and current on-air personality for FOX Sports. He is also one of the founders of Tight End University, a three-day program that brings together former and current NFL tight ends alongside George Kittle and Travis Kelce.

Olsen, a native of Wayne, New Jersey, started his football career at Wayne Hills High School, where he would earn All-American honors as a five-star recruit. After enrolling at the University of Miami in 2003, Olsen, as a sophomore starter, garnered an impressive 87 receptions, 1,215 yards, and 6 touchdowns. As a projected first-round pick, he was selected by the Chicago Bears with the 31st overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft.

Following his four-season stint with the Bears, Greg was traded to the Carolina Panthers, where he would play for nine seasons, earning three consecutive Pro Bowl selections and playing an instrumental role in the Panthers’ Super Bowl 50 appearance.

During his time with the Carolina Panthers, Greg became just the third player in FOX Sports’ history to also serve as an in-game television analyst, after Marcus Allen in 1994 and Matt Hasselbeck in 2014. He called for multiple regular season matchups, along with serving as an on-air personality during FOX’s coverage of the San Francisco 49ers vs Kansas City Chiefs match for Super Bowl LIV.

In 2021, Greg Olsen announced his NFL retirement and pursued a full-time career as a sports broadcaster for FOX Sports. He also signed a one-day contract with the Carolina Panthers to be formally retired as a member of the team. He ranks second all-time among Panthers tight ends in receiving touchdowns and third in receiving yards and receptions. As a three-time Pro Bowler and fifth all-time among tight ends with 742 receptions and 8,683 yards, Greg is widely considered one of the most accomplished tight ends in the history of the NFL.

In addition to his prolific football and sports broadcasting career, Olsen founded the podcast network and production company Audiorama and the Youth, Inc media network, which focuses on youth sports empowerment.

He and his wife, Kara, also established the HEARTest Yard in 2013, inspired by the challenges their son experienced with his severe congenital heart defect. The family support program under Receptions for Research and The Greg Olsen Foundation offers support to families of children with congenital heart disease. The HEARTest Yard Congenital Heart Center at the Levine's Children's Hospital opened in 2020.

Today, Greg and his wife Kara reside in Charlotte, North Carolina, with their daughter and two sons.
