Gerald Everett is an NFL tight end currently playing for the Chicago Bears. Born in Atlanta, Everett attended Columbia High School in Decatur, GA, and played both basketball and football in high school. He attended Hutchinson Community College for two years, after went to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, then transferred to the University of South Alabama. In his two years at the University of South Alabama, he was 2x First Team All-Sun Belt, in 2015 and 2016, and also received an invitation to the Senior Bowl. Everett's impressive college performance led to him getting drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2017 NFL Draft, as he was the first player to ever be drafted from South Alabama. In 2021, he signed a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks, and in 2022 he signed a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Chargers. Currently, Everett plays for the Chicago Bears with a new two-year contract in 2024.
