Eric Haase is a catcher for the Detroit Tigers. Eric was born and raised in the Detroit area, and as a senior in high school, was named the Gatorade High School Baseball Player of the Year in Michigan as well as Michigan’s Mr. Baseball. Eric was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 7th round of the 2011 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut in 2018, and in 2020 he was traded to the Tigers. After returning to Detroit, Eric was second on the team in home runs (22) in 2021. A local legend, Eric lives in Detroit with his wife and four children.
