We all may know him as Emeke, but his Nigerian parents named him Chukuemeke MaCaulay Egbule. Though his parents are Nigerian, Emeke is of American nationality born October 13, 1996, in Galena Park, Texas. He has three siblings. One of which is Emeke's twin sister, Omose Egbule.
Emeke attended North Shore High School where he was a multisport athlete, playing both basketball and football. For football, he played the tight end position and was named 2013's 21-5A All-District First Team. In his senior year, 2014, he won the State Championship in basketball. Emeke attended the University of Houston for his four collegiate years, impacting the team upon arrival. In 2017, he became a full-time starter finishing with 60 tackles. By the end of his senior year, Emeke finished with 164 tackles and 2 touchdowns. Egbule rose on draft boards due to his display on the field his senior year and the NFL scouting combine. He was one of three Houston players to attend the NFL Combine. In the 2019 NFL draft, Emeke was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers. He played two seasons for the Los Angeles Chargers before moving to the CFL to play for the Edmonton Elks.
