Diontae Johnson is a wide receiver for the Baltimore Raves. He formerly played for the Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers. Born and raised in Florida, Johnson attended Earl J. Lennard High School where he played football. He then went on to play college football at the University of Toledo. Here, Johnson played from 2015 to 2018 and amassed 2,235 yards and 23 touchdowns on 135 catches. His sophomore year was a breakout year in which he had 74 catches for 1,278 yards and 13 touchdowns.
His successful college career earned him a third-round draft pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Steelers. In his first season, Johnson collected 59 receptions for 680 yards and five receiving touchdowns. In addition, he was named to the NFL All-Pro Second Team as a punt return specialist.
The 2020 season saw improvement, as Johnson brought in 88 receptions for 923 yards and 7 touchdowns. Johnson’s 2021 campaign has been even better, as he has proven himself to be the Steelers top receiver with Juju Smith-Schuster out with an injury.
