DiJonai Carrington is a guard currently playing for the Seattle Storm in the WNBA. A San Diego native, Carrington attended Horizon Academy, and was named McDonald's All-American and Jordan Brand Classic All-American, before committing to the very prestigious Stanford University. In her time with the Cardinal, she won 2 Pac-12 Tournament Championships in 2017 and 2019, as well as helping the Cardinal reach the Elite Eight of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament in 2019. She was also outstanding academically, as she was part of the Academic Honor Roll in 2020, and also received honorable mentions from the Pac-12 All-Academic team in 2018 and 2019. She then grad-transferred to Baylor University for her senior year, winning Big 12 Sixth Woman of Year and Newcomer of Year. In 2021, the Connecticut Sun drafted Carrington with the 20th overall pick. In her rookie season, she helped the Sun achieve their best record in franchise history, the best record in the entire WNBA, at 26-6.
