Under the submit a request section, there will be an option to upload your own contract; make sure to include the date, location, length of speech, and preferred payment plan for travel expenses. If you don’t have a specific date in mind and wish to organize the event around the talent’s availability, please specify in the comment box. This allows the talent to be as informed as possible when making their decision.
After you submit a request, the talent has the option to accept, reject, or inquire more information. They will reach out through the “messages” section on Engage underneath your profile. You will be notified by email when a message is sent. EngageTM is built on trust, and as a result we do not list any talent on the site unless they or their agent personally sign up.
Fees are added in a straightforward process. The talent lists their price for an event as a negotiable number or lists their price as “Submit a Request” in which the consumer can submit a price they see fit. The talent and consumer can the negotiate from there through Engage’s communication module on the platform. After the two sides find a price and a request is submitted, Engage adds a fee that is visible towards the bottom of the request.
In the contract you sign upon submitting a request, you will specify the payment terms. After you and the talent approve the request, you can pay through credit card or an ACH transfer. We recommend an ACH transfer since it excludes a credit card processing fee. You will be charged according to the payment settings you chose to set up with the talent. If you chose to pay a percentage of the fee after completion of the event, you will receive an email 24 hours after the event from Engage that provides a link to pay the remaining balance. A second email will be sent including an invoice from the travel expenses.
